This annoys me so badly..
You know the scene, person home alone, Monster, Villain or whatever it is sneaks in, the person hears a noise, decides to investigate, DUH!!. grab your S**T and GO!!, don't wander around the house looking for the noise, go stand in your garden, whatever it is will get bored and leave. Job Done!!.

My peeve about movies is when people "drive cars" - in quotes because they are so obviously NOT driving! If I drove like they do (looking at my passenger every time I talk, reaching across the seat, staring up at the buildings they're "driving" past), I would have had about fifty major accidents by now. Everyone would have. Why don't directors ever think of this?
